Yali is a true Yogini on all levels. She is strong in her posture practice but never losses sight that Love is the operative silent partner in all her teaching.  She is a woman with a mission and yet always stops to be with you where you are.
It is always a pleasure being taught by her.”

Yali started practicing Yoga in her early 20’s with a strong background in Ashtanga Vinyasa, she expresses an innovative, dynamic teaching style seamlessly merging tradition with a careful application to contemporary influences and forms. As a forever student and global citizen she has dedicated the past few years traveling to India and around the world to practice, teach, research and expand her awareness, delving deep into the many branches of yoga evolving globally.

Currently teaching in New Zealand, with a love for surfing she regularly travels to Costa Rica to teach and assist yearly in the 200 hour Yoga Teachers Training at the Nosara Yoga Institute.

It is with the deepest gratitude and respect that she bows down to her beloved Teachers, Guides and Guru’s that have unfolded their wisdom to brighten the light in the path along her journey. She endeavors to pass on this teaching from the heart with authenticity and grace.

“To experience Yoga with Yali is to be uplifted physically, spiritually and emotionally. Physically, she will make your stronger through her rigorous yoga practice and you will do things you did not know you can do. Spiritually, she will help you to open your heart with her beautiful and thought-provoking readings and chants. At the end of the practice you will be in a new place emotionally as your body and your heart pull you to something greater. YALI Meanings:
Yali is a ancient, mythical lion-like creature seen guarding many Hindu temples in Southern India.

Yali’s are believed to be more powerful than the lion or the elephant.

A Yali is a lion made fantastic with the addition of horns, and an elaborate, foliate tail. Having a cat-like graceful and lithe body, such figures were a common motif between the seventh and tenth centuries in Indian temple architecture. Nearly always depicted in pairs, they are shown in lively, rearing and contorted postures, as if dancing. These protective figures usually grace the recesses or exterior walls of temples, palaces, and even ordinary homes.

A Yalı in Turkish (from Greek yiáli γιαλή), literally means “seashore, beach”
